How many gears do the ebikes have?

The Dance One and the Dance One Step are both single speed ebikes (no gear shift) that have three support modes.
The support modes are indicated by LEDs on the handlebar:
White LEDs: no support
Blue LEDs: low support
Purple LEDs: high support
